Gemengd Zwemmen

Gemengd Zwemmen
Every Saturday the Melkweg in Amsterdam throws open both rooms for a night of alternative dance, pop, rock and indie hits. Gemengd Zwemmen (Mixed Swimming) is your weekly dose of the latest alternative hits and dance floor classics from the nineties and naughties.

Indie kicks
Top DJs, who have manned the decks in the dance tents at Dutch music festivals including Lowlands and Pinkpop, will be on hand to spin the tunes from 23:00 until late. The 'Old Room' at the Melkweg offers a mix of underground classics while 'The Max' bounces to the rhythm of an alternating weekly theme.

Variety: spice of the Melkweg
Global Climax takes control on the first Saturday of the month, with a fusion of latino, Balkan beats, kuduro, reggae, bhangra and numerous other world styles while the best 80s and 90s hits can be heard on the second Saturday of the month at 80s/90s Delight. Foxes and Wolves add a shot of old and new disco to the third Saturday and the final Saturday is reserved for Classic Material: hip-hop, soul, R&B and funk.
