For the Lone Stars show, Danish photographer Eva Marie Rødbro travelled to Texas, where she photographed and filmed a group of young people in their daily lives. The result were portraits of people in that phase between childhood and adulthood. They're in search of their identity, but in the end they spend their days doing little more than visiting each other and killing time.
Rødbro visualises this period of unrest and insecurity in a combination of portraits, still lifes and landscape images that are raw and spherical, yet recognisable and personal. Foam exhibits about 40 photographs and video work.
Rødbro is a Gerrit Rietveld Academy graduate. She has exhibited in various countries including The Netherlands, Denmark, Spain and Italy. Publications include Fuck You Kiss Me (2008), Limbo (2007), Collectables (2007) and Dubi (2005).
