Felt Bags by Werkstück

Amsterdam's very own Museum of Bags and Purses presents this exhibition of felt bags by Werkstück.

Handmade softness meets clean-cut design

Werkstück, by the German designer Kerstin Schürmann, is unique in that all of its bags are handmade from felt, combined with leather and textile. The flower patterns, which initially look like they have been painted on, appear to grow out of the bag. But like the bags, the flowers have been been felted from wool by hand. The softness of the flowery design contrasts with the clean-cut design of the rest of the bag.
