Fashionable construction
Fashion and architecture often share common ground yet the collaboration between fashion designers and architects is still but a youthful figure of a field. This exhibition at the Amsterdam Centre of Architecture (ARCAM) takes a look at what happens when the two disciplines combine expertise.
Common ground
Both disciplines involve designing creations that protect while being a delight to behold and draw on principles of construction and selecting materials from an ever-growing range of possibilities.
Design duos
The competition behind this exhibition unites fashion and architecture. ARCAM, Ontfront and V2A Architectuur & Stedebouw challenged four daring duos to team up in the design process and draw on their partner's talent to conceive an innovative design.
