Classic fiction, a ballet
The National Dutch Ballet production of Cervantes' masterpiece about the foolish, wandering knight, with, in the ballet, an emphasis on the love between the beautiful Kitri in the red dress and destitute Basilio.

Renewing Russian ballet
In his new production Alexei Ratmansky looks back to the first Don Quixote of Marius Petipa in 1869, created for the Bolshoi Ballet. Ratmansky was artistic director of the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet. Under his inspiring leadership the ballet went into a renewed period of growth and critics declared it the 'best ballet company in the world'.
