Pure guitar rock that formed a wall of fuzz and heavily influenced the grunge movement, three-piece Dinosaur Jr. have been pushing their sound since 1984 with stand out albums like Green Mind, Bug and You're living all over me before Lou Barlow's departure.
Grunge-era
Through the '90s with classic grunge-era records Where You Been and Without a Sound the band finally got their dues, and pay cheques from a wider audience. Nevertheless after '97's Hand it Over the band broke up.
Back with beyond
Reforming in 2005 with the original line-up of J. Mascis, Murph and Barlow the band put out Beyond in '07 which was a return to form full of distortion and whine. They tour now on the back of recent release Farm which is garnering great reviews.
