In the 60s the American choreographer Lucinda Childs was involved in the radically innovative Judson Church Collective in New York and then started to develop her own style. Her work is based on scores of everyday movements, which are executed with extreme precision.
Nicole Beutler
Fascinated by the apparently simple and strict minimalism of the early work by Lucinda Childs, Nicole Beutler works with two pieces that are performed in silence: Radial Courses and Interior Drama. In Radial Courses four motion sequences are the basis for a constantly shifting composition. In Interior Drama five performers dance a hallucinatory and seemingly perfect system.
