All aboard the Comedytrain!
At the end of June, the world-famous Comedytrain steams back into town for six weeks of sensational stand-up comedy performances at Amsterdam's Toomler comedy club.
Comedy tag teams
Every year, Toomler invites a host of top stand-up talent from the UK, America, New Zealand and Canada to make the trip to the Dutch capital. And it's a tag-team affair as two comedians perform on four consecutive nights before handing the baton to another duo who will do the honours the following week.
This year's stars
This year's line-up more than lives up to the Comedytrain's reputation. Gracing the Toomler stages in 2011:
6 - 9 July: Jo Caulfield & Pete Johansson
13 - 16 July: Jim Breuer & Stephen K Amos
20 - 23 July: Dave Fulton & Markus Birdman
27 - 30 July: Adam Bloom & Brendon Burns
3 - 6 August: Reginald D Hunter & Lucy Porter
10 - 13 August: Ian Stone & Shelly Marshall.
Language no problem!
What makes the Comedytrain unique is that each and every show is in English so those who don't speak the local lingo will never be left in the dark. So get down to Toomler to catch returning Comedytrain favourites and up-and-coming talent new on the scene.
