Boat Tour: On Worker's Palaces & Sea Fortresses

Boat Tour: On Worker's Palaces & Sea Fortresses
All aboard the barge for a tour through the former docklands that were once the pride of the great Amsterdam harbour!

Sea fortresses
Join this guided tour through the quays of the Java and KNSM islands where the 'sea fortresses' once dropped anchor and delve into the residential areas, brimming with intriguing social history and characteristic architecture.

Worker's palaces
The excursion takes in the wharfs of yesteryear, renovated warehouses and the 'Houthaven' (Timber Docks) before arriving at the Spaarndammerbuurt, a district that nestles between the harbour and railroad. Back on dry land, the guided tour continues along the 'worker's palaces' before returning to Museum Het Schip.

Boat trip down memory lane
This fantastic boat tour lasts about two hours. Price includes entrance to the museum and group discounts are available on request.
