Smooth R&B and neo-soul singer Angie Stone is a contemporary to the likes of Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. She first found moderate success in 80s hiphop funk outfit The Sequence as a teenager and then in 90s R&B trio Vertical Hold. She has now released four solo albums since 1999 and played last year's North Sea Jazz.
