ABC Urban Arts Festival - where design meets craft

Easy as ABC

Now in it's third year, the Urban Arts Festival celebrates the combination of design and crafts as designers, artists and other creatives resurrect and reinvent more traditional crafts and hobbies.

Craft-ernoon

Heard of yarn-bombing? How about guerrilla gardening? Craft nights and 'stitch n bitch' events have been popping up about the city. Creatives of all kinds are twisting the idea of urban art from paper toy designers and fiber artists to illustrators and designers. Join them at the Spui, in front of the ABC as they create work on-site, sell their wares, sharing ideas and generally getting creative.

Workshops at the ABC Treehouse

At the ABC Treehouse, workshops will offer free hands on classes and create discussions between artists, publishers and other industry folk about design, crafts and illustrations.
