A History of Everything

Ontroerend Goed, Sydney Theatre Company - A history of everything

The Sydney Theatre company team up with young Belgian collective Ontroerend Goed to bring their history of life, the universe and everything to Amsterdam.

From the Big Bang to today

The actors of Ontroerend Goed and the Sydney Theatre Company have set themselves an ambitious task, indeed: in their performance they aim to tell the complete story of the history of our universe, from the Big Bang to today. Thankfully, they have a little bit of help: their History of Everything is based on the works of evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, theoretical physicist Brian Greene (him of the string theory) and art historian EH Gombrich.

The companies

Ontroerend Goed are a Belgian collective of young theatre makers that see theatre as a playground and view a sense of humour perspective as indispensible. For their new production, they've collaborated with the Sydney Theatre Company, one of the best known companies from Australia, which is currently under artistic direction of Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton. The Stadsschouwburg coproduced this performance.
