World leaders ‘represent’ in I amsterdam’s Queen’s Day campaign.
As of this week , world leaders Nicolas Sarkozy, Silvio Berlusconi and Hillary Clinton will ´represent´ in I amsterdam’s campaign April 30: Best Party in the World.
The goal of the campaign according to Amsterdam Partners, the city marketing organisation responsible for promoting Amsterdam and the region, is to appeal to and attract expatriates and international visitors to Amsterdam on Queen’s Day – a world-renowned party the city can be proud of.
Images which reflect Amsterdam’s carnivalesque glory on Queen’s Day, and that celebrate the city’s tolerant, naughty and playful sense of humour were chosen for the campaign. The campaign was created for Amsterdam Partners by Amsterdam advertising agency, BeyenMeyer.
The Queen’s Day campaign will be distributed through various channels including; JCDecaux and Bizon Buitenreclame poster spots, to the cultural and nightlife circuit via 160,000 Boomerang postcards, on the website www.iamsterdam.com and free publicity. The Boomerang cards also connect people to the new I amsterdam mobile city guide. This guide can be downloaded on the site or by SMS-ing ‘iamsterdam’ to 5040. In addition to general information on Amsterdam, the mobile city guide contains an English-language overview of the ´hottest places to be´ on Queen’s Night (29 April) and on Queen’s Day (30 April).
