Developed for visitors and residents, the City Guide provides information on renowned museums and attractions as well as insider tips on Amsterdam markets, boutiques, cafés and cinemas. The application offers offline maps with a GPS-plotting search for locations (‘Near Me’), a feature that avoids roaming costs for users from abroad.

The innovative application was presented at the mobile app conference iCE Amsterdam in the presence of deputy mayor of the City of Amsterdam, Mr Lodewijk Asscher on 26 November 2009. On that same day it was offered to delegates of Eurobest, international advertising festival. Watch video.
The mobile City Guide guide was developed by Amsterdam-based company Xs2theworld. Offering online city guides is part of Amsterdam’s greater digital city marketing strategy.

Iamsterdam.com is the portal to Amsterdam, and provides visitors with everything they need to know to travel, live and to do business in Amsterdam. The website is an ambitious co-production of the Amsterdam Partners Foundation, City of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Tourism and Convention Board (ATCB), Amsterdams Uitburo (AUB), amsterdam inbusiness, and the Expatcenter.
