Since the NH Doelen Hotel opened its doors in 1883, it has seen a motley parade of guests. One of the most famous was Empress Elisabeth of Austria, better known as Sissi. The room in which she stayed is now the bridal suite. The little balcony offers a view over the canals of Amsterdam. The Sissi suite has a separate dressing room and a bathroom with a heart shaped Jacuzzi.
