The Silodam is a modern apartment block on the embankment between the Houthavens (‘Timber Docks’) and the River IJ. The striking design is by renowned architects MVRDV and reminds one of a chest of drawers with all kinds of different drawers, owing to the seventeen different types of façade coping used.
