The Pipe Museum (Pijpenkabinet) is in charge of a collection that is unique in the Netherlands and Europe. The Pijpenkabinet displays centre on the world wide culture of pipe smoking and the use of tobacco from the earliest times (500 B.C.) to present day.

Definitive collection
The museum has over 20,000 items in its collection. The permanent exhibition of the Pijpenkabinet represents the large variety of pipes and smoking paraphernalia that has been used all over the world. There are also some items with great historic value and of high artistic quality in the collection. Of course, the humble poor man's pipe is not forgotten either.
