The historic IJ-veer XIII, also known as the classic Nieuwendammer boat, has been extensively restored and is ready for sailing yet again. The nearly two-hour long cruises through the Eastern harbours (Oostelijk Havengebied) and along the rural North area (Noord) depart from wharf 14 behind the Central Station or at the IJ-kantine on the NDSM-werf. The boat stops at the KNSM-eiland, the head of the Sporenburg and at Café ‘t Sluisje in the ancient Nieuwendam. A ticket allows unlimited access to get on and off the boat at each stop.
