The Geelvinck Hinlopen Museum is an Amsterdam canal house located in the ‘Golden Curve’ on the Herengracht. The canal mansion was built in 1687 for the occasion of the marriage of Albert Geelvinck to the much younger, Sara Hinlopen. Albert Geelvinck was a wealthy and influential merchant.
The period rooms and the rich garden between the main Geelvinck Hinlopen house and its former carriage house on Keizersgracht is open to the public on weekends. A guided tour will give you a good impression of life inside of the home. There are a number of differently styled rooms to visit.
