What does a chef do when he no longer feels like running a big, crowded restaurant where evening in and evening out he must slave in the kitchen to produce dishes on the menu? What he does is start a small living-room restaurant like Marius in the Barentszstraat. In a charming, cosy establishment in a small kitchen, brilliant chef Kees Elfring creates a daily culinary (but quite expensive) market menu. Both the atmosphere and the food are fabulous; the informality and being tucked in closely with other diners adds to the pleasure.
