Historic arrival and departure hall for passengers with the Royal Dutch Steam ship Company. The hall was built in 1956 and and its appearance has not been changed ever since. It seems as if any moment a ship could moor.
The building is designed in cooperation with various artists. For example, there are a large mural by Cuno van den Steene and stained glass windows with designs by Lex Horn. The Compass room is now in use as a bar-restaurant including an information point.
