The Amstelhof building, one of the finest examples of monumental classicist architecture in Amsterdam, was an old peoples home during 325 year. After a profound renovation Hermitage Amsterdam opened its doors on the 20th of June 2009. Hermitage Amsterdam is the only dedicated, independently managed venue in the West of St Petersburg’s magnificent State Hermitage Museum.
