The pigments that are needed for the preparation of paint are needed for the preparation of paint are ground in this paint mill from the year 1782, in the same way that this was done during the time of Rembrandt. Following a restoration around 1960, the mill was initially used for bolting (sifting) sawdust. It then served as a paint mill, but chalk was ground here as well.
