Amsterdam Tulip Museum

Prinsengracht 112
1015 EA AMSTERDAM
Neighbourhood: Canals

Located in the Jordaan, the Amsterdam Tulip Museum (Tulpenmuseum) pays tribute to this delicate flower – which ignited great passion and great envy over the centuries. The museum details Holland's fascinating horticultural story, including a phenomena known as Tulipomania.

Tulip madness
Tulipomania was a period when a craze of trading in tulips bulbs took root in the Netherlands - people even sold their houses to invest in special tulip stock exchanges. Although they're a little more sensible these days, the Dutch still love their tulips, as is evident at the Tulip Museum.

Visitors from the USA and the EU may place advance bulb orders.
