Amsterdam American Hotel - Hampshire Eden

The famous Amsterdam American Hotel, located on the “Leidseplein”, has renovated three meeting rooms into Art Deco style. The renewed meeting rooms perfectly match the architecture from the historical building. Since 1972 the building is listed as a historical monument.

The Amsterdam American Hotel has a total of 175 guest rooms, of which 13 are Junior Suites and the famous Mata Hari Suite and the ‘Ruud de Wild’ Art Suite. The Classic American rooms, Deluxe American rooms and American Junior Suites are equipped with all facilities that a guest can expect from a 4 star deluxe hotel. Some of the guest rooms have a balcony, canal view or stained glass details.

Café Americain; ‘A landmark in Amsterdam’
The Tiffany lamps and the mural featuring Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream are all original characteristics of Café Americain. Café Americain, where the breakfast, lunch and dinner is
served daily, can also be used exclusively for example a wedding, (gala) dinner, fashion show, product presentations or a reception with a maximum of 400 persons.
