The fourth winner of the Amsterdam Young Scientist Award (AYSA) has been announced.
The Amsterdam Young Scientist Award (AYSA) contributes to the promotion and support of 'Amsterdam as a City of Knowledge'. Each year Amsterdam gives a major international scientific congress the opportunity to present an award to a young scientist. This prize is presented by the research platform Nieuw Amsterdams Peil Initiatief (NAP Initiative). The aim of the AYSA is to distinguish Amsterdam from other European cities as a City of Knowledge during the bid procedure. As such, Amsterdam is contributing to increasing knowledge and research levels and fostering budding talent. The ICNC was extremely impressed by the standard of candidates and devoted plenty of attention to the award. 400 international guests attended the festive presentation in NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, bringing Amsterdam more squarely into the limelight.
During the Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT Congress (ICNC), the Amsterdam Young Scientist Award (AYSA) was presented to Dr. Erika Lankinen from the Finnish city of Turku. To this end, this promising scientist was up against five other candidates.
The Nieuw Amsterdams Peil Initiatief (NAP-Initiatief) is an Amsterdam alliance of Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board, Congrex Holland, the AMC congress organisation, MCI Amsterdam / Eurocongress International and Netherlands Board of Tourism & Convention.
