I amsterdam uncovered
On July 6th, the third edition of the ‘I amsterdam Uncovered Business Case’ took place. Yet again, it has become clear that city-wide cooperation leads to a great and complete manifestation of Amsterdam as a convention destination. During the programme several players from the convention sector presented themselves to (inter)national non-corporate meeting planners.
Amsterdam is back on the map as the convention destination
The day began with a warm reception at the Wyndham Apollo Amsterdam, where the meeting planners were welcomed on the terrace of restaurant La Sirène. From there the group travelled by bicycle taxi to the Amsterdam RAI.
A look behind the scenes
This year, the Business Case was scheduled during the 7th edition of the Forum of European Neuroscience (FENS), which was attended by 6.500 people. The meeting planners were given the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of this prestigious convention. The chairman of the local organizing committee, Mr G.J. Boer, explained the motivation to organize the convention in Amsterdam.
Taskforce Wide Congresses
In the afternoon there was a cruise on a private boat, giving all the opportunity to get a great impression of the city. Afterwards, there was a network party at the Beurs van Berlage where the city of Amsterdam welcomed them. There were also representatives present from Taskforce City Wide Congresses. This platform is committed to optimize the reception of conventions citywide.
