Inspiring, innovating and international
The Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ opened its doors in the spring of 2005. The spectacular building justifiably calls itself 'Amsterdam's Concert Hall of the 21st Century'. The music performed in the Muziekgebouw always aims to be both inspirational and innovative, with an exciting, contemporary programme.
Music and more...
But world-class music is not the only reason to visit the Muziekgebouw. Throughout the year, the venue hosts exhibitions showcasing work by internationally acclaimed visual artists. And why not call in on the Star Ferry? The Muziekgebouw café and restaurant allows visitors the chance to enjoy a wide range of food & drinks and offers a fabulous view of the IJ.
