In the heart of the Museum Quarter in Amsterdam, surrounded by the Rijskmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk and the Concertgebouw, lies the Museumplein - a spacious square frequently used for outdoor festivals and events.

Here you'll also find the large I amsterdam letters, a large shallow pond perfect for sitting beside in summer while in winter it freezes with ice-skating on offer. The green park space is perfect for a picnic with plenty of grass area for games while to the right of the pond is a basketball court, skateboard ramp and swings. You'll also find various stalls selling snacks and refreshments.
