Located in the bustling heart of Amsterdam, the Melkweg (Milky Way) is one of the city's leading entertainment venues with two halls, a cinema, a theatre and a cafe - and a varied live programme.

Music at the Melkweg

The Melkweg boasts three outstanding halls to support their varied live music programme. The intimate Oude Zaal plays host to up-and-coming bands while The Max regularly welcomes established names. The latest adddition is the Rabozaal: a modern, multifunctional hall connected to the Stadsschouwburg and ideal for seated concerts.

The Milky Way

Housed in an old dairy factory, the Melkweg played a major role in 1960s-counterculture Amsterdam. Alongside live music, the location is also home to theatre productions, films, exhibitions and regular dance events.

Ticket information
Membership (4 euros or 25 euros per year) is compulsory unless otherwise stated. Membership is not required for the theatre, film, media and gallery. Tickets are also available at the Ticketshop located on the Leidseplein.

Box office open from 16:30.
