From small beginnings in the 1980s, the Hetveem Theater has developed into a workplace, production centre, stage and laboratory for contemporary mime theatre in the widest sense of the word.
National reputation
Hetveem Theater holds a unique position in the Netherlands, concentrating solely on mime and related theatre. Much of what goes on in Hetveem Theater determines the reputation and image of mime in the country.
Historical energy
Located in a refurbished 19th-century warehouse, both the studio and main theatre are constantly buzzing with energy. The Veemcafé is open for refreshments before and after performances and is also available for hire.
