Located in the beautiful Amstelhof building, the Hermitage hosts temporary exhibitions drawn from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Each exhibition is on view for around five months.

For 324 years, the Amstelhof building was a home for the elderly. In 2009, the entire Amstelhof became part of the Hermitage, covering more than 4,000 square metres.
