Founded in 1978, Amsterdam's Jeugdtheater (Youth Theatre) De Krakeling holds the exclusive title of being the only youth theatre in the Netherlands that programmes exclusively for children.
Youth of today
Jeugdtheater De Krakeling boasts a top-drawer programme of mainly Dutch and Flemish theatre, puppet and music theatre and dance performances. All ages are welcome but the focus of the theatre is on audiences between the ages of 2 and 17.
Theatre for hire
Alongside putting on more than an impressive 200 performances a season, the theatre also runs a full educational programme. It's also the perfect venue for private functions - the foyer, theatre and other rooms in the building are all available for hire.
