The Cobra Museum of Modern Art is one of the leading Dutch art museums. Its much-acclaimed museum collection is entirely dedicated to the revolutionary international post-war art movement that the museum is named after: Cobra. In addition, the museum regularly presents modern and contemporary art exhibitions.
The Cobra movement has been of crucial importance for the development of modern art in the Netherlands, and its art has left an important legacy. In addition to housing a collection of works by 20th-century Cobra artists such as Karel Appel, Constant and Corneille, the museum is a leading venue for exhibitions of contemporary art from both international and local artists. All this is presented in a stunning, modern building.
The museum offers free guided tours for visitors every Sunday at 13:00 (children) and 14:00 (adults). The free kids' workshop Children's Studio takes place every Sunday from 11:00 to 13:00 (please note: no workshops in July and August).
