This bar/club/cafe/restaurant on the seventh floor of the former office building of the Volkskrant newspaper boasts an easy-going vibe, affordable yet lush cocktails, and, most importantly of all, a stunning view of Amsterdam which, in the summer, can be taken in fully from the spacious roof terrace. The crowds are typically diverse, though there's usually some arty and media types - due to the many studios housed in the same building - to be found during the week, while the weekend club nights play host to more of a mixed bag of visitors.
