    Beginning life in 1985, over the years the Amsterdamse Bos Open Air Theatre has grown from being a neglected spot in the forest to one of the city's most respected theatres.

    Every summer, the theatre comes alive with a new production from resident theatre group Bostheater. Inspiring performances and the accessible atmosphere (theatre-goers are welcome to bring their own picnic) make a trip to this theatre a truly memorable experience.

    Opening hours
    Access to the theatre is possible before and during the shows. Please arrive well in advance of the performance. Free seating.
    Other location details
    Car access up a 100 metres from the theatre. From that point on, a gradually accending path leads to the theatre itself. There is space in the aisles for visitors in a wheelchair. Please consult with one of the attending supervisors. There are no facilities for the hearing impaired.
    How to get there
    bus 69-125-146-147-169-170-171-172. The special bus (Bosbus 70) only runs on Sundays from Easter until the beginning of November, from 10.00 till 17.30.
