The Amsterdam Marionette Theatre is a classical marionette theatre in the heart of the city, near the Nieuwmarkt that protects a performance art harking back to the days of Mozart.
An ensemble of six puppeteers play the large puppets which are carved out of limewood and dressed in velvet and silk costumes, performing opera and music theatre by various composers.
