Where can you vote in Amsterdam?

  • With a voting pass for the City Council election you can vote in any of the polling stations in Amsterdam.
  • With a voting pass for the District Committee election, you can only vote at a polling station within the city district in which you live

Your voting pass will list the address of the nearest polling station in your neighbourhood, but you can choose to vote elsewhere in the city or city district. On 19 March 2014, the polling stations will be open from 07:30 to 21:00. Some polling stations (e.g. those at train stations) may have different opening hours to cater to commuters.

An overview of all polling stations in Amsterdam can be found on www.amsterdam.nl/verkiezingen. The polling station locations will also be published in the free newspapers published by the local city districts, which will be delivered to homes prior to the election. Both the local city district newspapers and the website will also provide the lists of candidates.
