Amsterdam's seven districts (not to be confused with buurtenneighbourhoods in Amsterdam) are Amsterdam Centre, West, Oost, Noord, Zuid, Nieuw-West and Zuidoost. Below, find more information about the Centre district.

Civil Affairs (burgerzaken):

With or without appointment: Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 18:00. Online appointment form (in Dutch)

Please note that you are always required to make an appointment for marriage registration (including application for an M46 declaration and ratification), name changes, collection and assessment of documents. Appointments are also required for a wide range of permit-related enquiries. Immigration and naturalisation services by appointment only at Stadsdeel Centrum.
