Woonbeurs Amsterdam - Interior Design Fair
If your Amsterdam pad could do with a style facelift, mark 22 until 30 September 2012 in your diaries. The Woonbeurs Fair offers the latest in home interiors, outdoor furnishings, art, concept design and lifestyle trends. Come and be inspired by over 300 interior design experts, all under one roof.
Wall-to-wall design inspiration
Held at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, four exhibition halls will be filled with the latest in indoor and outdoor living ideas and concepts. Running in close partnership with Sanoma media Woonbeurs offers a weeks worth of fawning over fabric swatches, lounge suits, designer tables and giving split-second thought to the obvious need for a 85 lamp chandelier.
Over at the Top Design Zone, leading design experts Corradi, Leolux, Carpet Sign, Gispen, Bang & Olufsen, Odesi, Loewe, Niko, Castelijn, Botinger & Roi, Varenna, Mosa, Poggenpohl, Tulp, Rexa and Ege can help you nail crucial style details with their design workshops and demonstrations; helping inspire and bringing you up to speed on current trends.
An ideas factory
Also watch out for emerging design forces in the Via Milano exhibition. The work of Dutch designers extends far beyond our borders and the elegant Via Milano new Dutch Design exhibition showcases these internationally acclaimed design items. Come and see the work of Edward van Vliet, Ineke Hans, Aldo Bakker, Jorre van Ast, Kiki van Eijk, Maarten Baas and many others.
At the Design NL area meet young companies, inspiring start-ups, artists and furniture makers. This year NL Design is bigger and better than ever. Most of the members of NL design, including web shops will be situated in the Home / Decoration hall 8 at the vtwonen house; the other participants are in Design / Style Hall 11.
The Dutch are major design innovators, a fact which will be celebrated on VIP Night by way of the Woonbeurs Pin Award. The 2011 pin has been awarded to Frozen Fountain. The pin donates a badge of excellence and is much coveted in the industry, awarded to a person or organisation that has made a significant contribution to Dutch interior design. You can visit the pin shop and the pin library, which is full of books on previous pin winners and current books on interior design, architecture, fashion, photography and design.
