The Expat Welcome Event will again take place this June in Amsterdam. Last year's event, which was the first senior level cultural and business exchange for expatriates working in Amsterdam, was an enormous success.
The Expat Welcome Event will again celebrate Amsterdam's diverse international community and welcome incoming expats to the area.
Amsterdam currently counts 177 different nationalities, an estimated 50,000 of which make up the international community and add to the dynamic flavour of the city.
Both a meet-and-greet session and ideal networking opportunity, the Expat Welcome Event will host 250 expats and their partners.
The event will be officially opened by acting Mayor Lodewijk Asscher and will take place at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw on 8 June 2010. The programme will include comedy by Boom Chicago, a panel discussion, a live performance by the ensemble of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, as well as a walking dinner.
The evening is hosted and organised by a number of business players in the Amsterdam area, including Amsterdam Partners and the Expatcenter. The event is also made possible by ABN-AMRO, Tata, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
