When a person works in a country other than their home country, they will likely encounter additional or double costs. These can include finding suitable housing or paying double housing expenses, paying for language courses or translating legal documents.
To off-set these costs, the Dutch government developed a 30% tax reimbursement scheme.
In addition to a salary that is 30% tax-free, if you qualify for the ruling you can exchange your driving-license without having to go through the hassle of re-testing.
