Employment

The workforce in the Amsterdam area is highly educated and internationally oriented. A 30% tax incentive and one-stop-shop service centre for expats, the Expatcenter, has been set up due to the high demand for knowledge migants.

Practical matters

There are a number of details to sort out before coming to the Netherlands to work. The employer will apply for a work permit (tewerkstellingsvergunning). Further requirements to work in the Netherlands include a residency permit, personal public service number(burgerservicenummer) and to be registered with the municipality.
