Amsterdammers went to the polls on 3 March 2010 to cast their vote for City and District Councils. The following are the results of the City Council and all seven districts.
Election results
On Wednesday 3 March 2010 elections for both the City and District Councils were held across the City of Amsterdam. The final results were announced on Friday 5 March.
City Council
Leading the City Council election was the Labour Party with 15 seats, followed by the VVD with 8, while both D66 and GroenLinks filled 7 seats. New to the board is Red Amsterdam (Save Amsterdam), Trots op NL (Proud of NL) and the Partij van de Dieren (Party for Animals).

District Council
Elections were also held for Amsterdam's District Councils. On 10 June 2009, Amsterdam City Council agreed to reduce the number of city stadsdelen (districts) from 14 to seven to strengthen partnerships and create smoother-running administrative systems. The following tables give the results of the new districts.
