From Sydney, Australia, Colin came for the girl and stayed for the music. The quality, quantity and diversity of music, by both local and touring acts, can keep a punter like Colin out all week. He's been accused of being not decisive enough when picking his musical 'tribe'. Fact is, he love all genres equally on the proviso the music is executed with quality. That's why Colin can be found at indie gigs, hip-hop shows, jazz nights, punk concerts and dance parties all around Amsterdam.

What began has a DIY movement throughout the creative undercurrent of the city combined with it's close proximity to the UK, Amsterdam experienced the dance music evolution from underground clubs and warehouse raves to the first generation of party-starters like RoXY and on to the full-blown stadium fanfare of Sensation White and festivals like Loveland, Lowlands and 5 Days Off we see today. These days, while the DIY ethos remains, organisations like Electronation, Chemistry, and Earth have developed to take the reins with club nights, record deals and booking agencies to make Amsterdam one of the key centres of the dance music industry.

Each year the Amsterdam Dance Event is one of the most important international dance industry summits on the calendar.
