Saturday 10 September is the day of the seventh edition of the Barrel Organ Festival, organised by the Stichting Draaiorgel Festival Amsterdam. Marvel at the most beautiful barrel organs, concert organs and hand organs, brought to Amsterdam's city centre (Damrak, Beursplein, the Dam and Rokin) from the entire country.
The barrel organs will be presented on the Dam between 10:00 and 11:00 o'clock in the morning.
In Amsterdam itself there's only three barrel organs left, but it used to be more then 40. The annual festival was founded to protect this special tradition.
At noon, the barrel organs begin to spread over the entire festival ground and until 17:00 everyone can enjoy the cheerful sounds.
