Dancing on the Edge

The Dancing on the Edge festival presents engaging, authentic material from choreographers, dancers, theatre producers and actors from the Middle East and North Africa.

Multidisciplinary programme

The third edition of the Dancing on the Edge Festival features inspiring contemporary dance and theatre performances and takes place in five Dutch cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen and The Hague. In addition to the performances, the festival presents visual arts installations and the film programme Critical Syrian Cinema: Roots of Revolution?

Many nations, many stories

The participating artists present a personal and often startling perspective of society and culture in various countries. They search for a link to developments on the world stage while also drawing on their own cultural history and social environment.
