Amsterdam Jazz Festival, IJazz

IJazz is an international jazz festival held each year in early June on the northern shore of Amsterdam's River IJ at the NDSM Wharf.

With over 50 artists spread across 6 stages IJazz brings together the freshest and most diverse young artists who find jazz the basis for their musical platform yet can turn on a dime, dynamically blending soul, funk and blues as well as modern genres like pop and hip hop into their repertoire.

All levels of musicians can be found on the IJazz stage from internationally-renowned and critically acclaimed talents of touring artists to the national and local favourites right to the ground floor of jazz, the regulars at your local jazz joints.

Young talent awards

Likewise, students of the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the jazz department of the Muziekschool Amsterdam and Junior Jazz College strut their stuff and compete for the IJazz Award.
