Showcasing the finest in European style, the Amsterdam International Fashion Week is quickly making a name for itself on the international scene.

Biannual fashion bonanza

Twice yearly, in late January and again in July, the AIFW takes the city by storm. Running since 2004, the AIFW corresponds with summer and winter trends. Leading Dutch brands, independent boutique labels and local designers impress the international fashion world, while international brands showcase their wares to local buyers.

Public programme

Beyond the glitterati and fashionistas of the private runway shows is the public programme, taking Dutch fashion to where it belongs, the streets.

Fashion parties

Almost as important as the runway shows are the parties, where those in the industry have the opportunity to network and talk shop in a relaxed environment. Although some of these parties are exclusively invite-only, others are open to the public - one such event being the ever-popular anti-fashion party.
