Make sure to delve into this city’s cultural life this May! Here are some tips to get you started.
Remembrance & Liberation Day
Amsterdam joins the rest of the Netherlands on 4 May when its citizens pause to pay their respectsto the victims and fallen soldiers of World War II, as well as more recent military conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Then it's time for a national party on 5 May, as the crowds take to the streets to celebrate their freedom on Liberation Day.

Enjoy the cinematic summer! From 24 May 2016, open-air cinema with a view is on the agenda again at waterside café/restaurant/urban beach Pllek in Amsterdam-Noord. The programming is a mix between effortlessly masterful cult classics, arthouse gems and world cinema.
With over 40 events, 24H Zuidoost showcases the best of the south east part of the city on 21 & 22 May 2016.
